Cut like crystal, light as a lamp should be

The Kira is a faceted column that scatters light the way cut glass does, throwing small bright shapes across the table around it. It is moulded from a clear technopolymer rather than glass, so it is light, tough and safe to knock over.

It is cordless: a 1200 mAh battery gives six to eight hours from a charge of one to three hours over USB. Tap the base to switch on, tap again for warm, cool or natural light, and tap once more to change the brightness.

Five colours

Transparent is the most versatile. Amber orange, blue, smoke grey and plum green each tint the light and are worth mixing in a group across a dinner table. It can go outside too.
