A disc of light on a slender stem

The Pia is little more than a flat round shade balanced on a thin metal stem, which is exactly the point. It gives a calm, even light without any glare and looks as good on a hallway console as it does next to the bath.

A tap on the shade switches it on and steps through three brightness levels. The battery runs for eight to twelve hours and charges in about three, so it can spend the week moving between rooms without being plugged in for long.

Small enough for anywhere

It stands 21 cm tall on a 9 cm base and weighs around 600 g. Gold, copper or silver, each with a smooth plated finish.
